Carol Boden, Yuma County Department of Human Services
Idalia High School
Born in Burlington, Colorado, my family lived at Foster Farms ranch when Bonny Lake was built. We had to move to higher ground. My dad leased the state land around the lake and we grew corn and alfalfa. Attended Idalia School all twelve years and graduated from Idalia High School (1962).
Married LaVerne Boden and we raised our two children on the family farm. I was the first female deputy for Yuma County Sheriff’s Department and attended the Colorado Law Enforcement Training Academy in Golden, CO.
Worked with special needs kids for BOCES and then became a social worker for Kit
Carson County for 6 years and came to Yuma County Department of Human Services 11 years ago and recruit and certify foster homes along with child and adult
protection casework.
Proud grandmother of 7 and have 5 great-grandchildren!
